Yoga teachers! Join Rachelle Knowles, the founder of Cultivate Union and Libby Nicholaou, founder of Setu on Sunday, January 13, 2019 to learn about how to apply for CU x Setu Financial Assistance. There will be refreshments, a giveaway and the opportunity to have your yoga portrait taken.
Cultivate Union and Setu have teamed up to create CU x Setu Financial Assistance. Cultivate Union is a non-profit that supports sustainability and equity across the yoga community, led by Rachelle Knowles. Setu is community platform that advocates for inclusivity in yoga through events and online resources, founded by Libby Nicholaou.
CU x Setu Financial Assistance is a program that supports New York yoga teachers pursuing advanced and specialized trainings. Thanks to our partner, Here To Be, we’re able to award $10,000 directly to the community. We will begin accepting applications on January 7, 2019 and are hosting this event to meet applicants in person and answer questions about the program. In the meantime, learn more about CU x Setu Financial Assistance on the Setu blog.
About the founders
I am always a student first, teacher second. I completed my 200 hour certification at Kashi Atlanta under the guidance of Swami Jaya Devi. In addition to teaching, I lead Cultivate Union, a non-profit organization that is committed to promoting sustainability, equity and access in the yoga community.
I am a vinyasa yoga teacher and community leader based in New York. After dealing with health issues related to stress, I turned to yoga as a place for healing. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2017 and was compelled to start Setu based my training experience.
